Missing Dog... Cash Reward... No Questions Asked

A local families dog is missing and we need your help to find him. Please if you know any information about his where abouts please call either number above. This family misses their pet and have not given up hope. Kuma is a well loved dog and his family is waiting. These signs are posted all through Weaverville and up Reems Creek. They have also placed flyers in many mailboxes. Who knows where Kuma may be at this time so hopefully someone will read this and return him home. Pass this on to anyone is the Asheville area please.

Check out this amazing sunset we seen a couple weeks ago driving down Reems Creek away from the Blue Ridge Parkway in Weaverville North Carolina. This is one of the best reasons to live in or around Asheville the sunsets are very serene and beautiful with mountains as the backround it like living in a painting.

Weaverville Elementary School Yard Sale Fund Raiser

Weaverville Elementary School is holding a Yard Sale to benefit the landscaping committee at the school. The sale will be held on November 15th 2008 from 8 am till noon. All proceeds will be used for landscaping projects, greenhouse supplies, and for the New Gardening Club that will begin on November 18th.

Donations for the sale may be made at the school from 2:30 pm till 3:15 pm from November 10th till November 14th at the YMCA Afterschool trailer which is behind the cafeteria.

They are also looking for volunteers to help set up and work the sale. Please contact Tany LaCorte at tany@hughes.net if you can help in any way.

Thanks to all of the wonderful residents of North Asheville, Weaverville, and Mars Hill that volunteer in our schools. Caring neighbors, parents and friends are what our schools function possible.

Trick or Treating Weaverville North Carolina

This past Friday we spent our evening walking around the streets in the downtown comminuty of Weaverville North Carolina. It was Halloween, with Clone Troopers, princesses, dead girls & pirates of our large family were safe and had a alot of fun. Most families were sitting on their porches waiting for us to walk up the side walk to give us our treat. I have lived in many different towns and by far Weaverville is the safest and friendliest for my family and many others from the near by area including Asheville, Mars Hill, etc. I want to thank the Weaverville residences whom participated in decorations, costumes, and giving out candy of course. It made the experience for my family... perfect!

Madison County going Rogue on us

Madison County Sheriff's Department arrest a man in front of Ingles on Weaver Blvd. in Weaverville. This was about 11:05 am on Monday morning 11/3/2008.

Vance's Birthplace in Weaverville North Carolina

Even on Sunday with its gates closed, Vance's Birthplace has many cars parked along the road with people "hopping the fence" to visit and take photos. It is located about 6 miles down Reems Creek in North Asheville / Weaverville (about 20 minutes from Downtown Asheville).

Lake Louise in Weaverville North Carolina

Anyone who knows anything about North Asheville knows about Lake Louise. Only 2 minutes from Downtown Weaverville, and with several nice things to do.

They have a walking and jogging area, a bunch of benches, a place to feed the many ducks, covered picnic tables, a pavilion, a swing set, and a nice play area for the many kids that regularly go there.

Weaverville Fire Department Headquarters

Weaverville / North Asheville is also preparing for local growth with this new Weaverville fire department headquarters building right off the Monticello Rd exit on 19/23. It is a beautiful design that compliments the area. Check out the 4 small gables above each "fire engine" door to the right. Great work Weaverville North Carolina!

Many new and exciting things come as an area grows. Here is a photo of the Ingles in Weaverville, about 2 minutes from the new Wal-Mart and Lowes being built right over the 19/23 (I-26) bridge on Hwy 25/70. Ingles quickly prepares for the sure growth.
