Carolina First came into the Asheville area and took it by storm, building several large structures in key areas such as here. This is right across the street from the Buncombe County Courthouse in Downtown Asheville North Carolina. As with the other branch on Merrimon Avenue, Jersey Mike's is their second line tenant. www.CarolinaFirst.com

Nothing against this bank (I'm not one of their customers, though), but I don't see how this architectural style helps the city, ESPECIALLY since one--as you say--is directly across from the ornately beautiful Buncombe County Courthouse. Could a parking garage have been any uglier?
