A Potluck, Reading and Discussion on "belonging: a culture of place" at the Burton Street Peace Garden. What does it mean to call a place home? How do we create community? When can we say that we truly belong?

Join us in charting the geography of the heart, led by two of the nation's most powerful African-American women and social justice activists, passionate doers and thinkers! Reading/discussion from 11:00 - 12:00 pm and potluck/picnic from 12-2 pm with fresh-made pizzas from our community gardens and support from: burton st. community peace garden, asheville GO, the mayberry group, digable pizza, earthfare, pisgah view community peace garden, bountiful cities project, sound mind media, and sara day events. Bring a dish to share and join us!! Rain or Shine!
