Angela McKeller, kookbook author of Passion on a Plate: Affordable & EASY Gourmet, hosts Culinary Event June 4 & 5, 2010
Asheville, NC - Angela McKeller has been a guest on the Food Network, asked to appear on several reality cooking shows, just published her first kookbook and now celebrates by hosting a culinary event in Asheville, NC, June 4 & 5, 2010.
McKeller teams up with local micro-breweries and offers an exploration of tastes featuring seasonal, local ingredients, and an Iron Chef Competition with prizes.
On Friday, join Chef McKeller for a Beer and Truffles tasting with Pisgah Brewing (didn’t think beer and chocolate went together? Think again!) and Soufflés Made Simple Friday evening. Sample Simple Summer Desserts and a Brew Tasting on Saturday afternoon and join the Iron Chef Competition Saturday night.
Weekend-long activities also include live performances by local musical talents, Davin McCoy, a book signing, and a silent auction benefitting The Hope & Light Foundation, a foundation working hard to find the cure for Spinal Muscular Atrophy, the leading genetic cause of death in children under age of 2.
The “Kick Back and Kook," Feasting with Brew” weekend takes place at The 1847 Blake House Inn.
