For the most part, graffiti artists in Asheville area are attracted to garbage dumpsters. Of course graffiti writers do not usually spend time on places that they know will end up getting cleaned quickly. GDS garbage and sanitation in Asheville cleans graffiti off regularly. I remember when NYC started fighting graff. They coated all of their trains with a graff proof solvent, and would not allow a "painted" train out of their train yards. Instead they sent it to the "cleaning house", even if there was one tag. Artists waited for their work to show in public, but it never did... the New York City transit would not let them out, and killed the publicity and voice. Subway Graffiti became a thing of the past in the Big Cities.
